Up for bids, is a Honeywell King Avionics, KING KX 155 Tsod. 28 Volts Dc operation Unit. 4 Frequencies selector Display Heads, with the "FLIP-FLOP' frequency change features.
This Radio is a"New " In Excellent Conditions, Found BOXED in an Home Estate in Florida, by a closed friend found this Radio, Boxed in New Conditions, looks Never Used or Installed! Looks it has the Glide Slope Board installed as thre are two Molex connectors one is 30 pins and the other some 20 pins below the Master Power connector.I got an advice via phone, from a fellow avionics shop owner in Puerto Rico, as these radios has the "OPTIONS" for the owner to install the Card for the Glideslope or Not install it. It is purchased or ordered separedly when buying a radio like these from a dealer.
I do have expertise working with the Older KING RADIOS, Narcos, EDO Aire, etc, of the 70s. But not with these NEw generation of radios.
The rear PC Board,s "gold Fingers" are clean and Un-Scratched !Antenna connectors shows no sings of Physical connections or Body frictions. As an Expert QC Inspector, I can Do a FULL assesments of the conditions of this KX 155.
The Molex connector has no pre installed Pins, or remants of Chopped wires... as those when avionics shops clipped wirings to quick removal of "OLD avionics, as does the Aircraft parts Salvage sellers.
The radio's serial number is: 121568 and is shown in the photos. Radio is very New and Clean !!On top cover panels and Lower panels, there is No visible scratches at all! From the Pulling out and Pushing in into the mounting rack.No sticker or tape marks on any of its upper and lower radio Cover panels.
These KX 155's are very High Sticker priced ! They are very Reliable radios though !
