Here's the barn find you may be looking for. We have an Ercoupe project that was rescued from a barn in dry Texas. Included is a fuselage with bubble windshield, 2 external fuel tanks, 1 internal fuel tank, there are Cleveland brakes and wheels (some corrosion on inner halves of wheels), 1 good metal wing with a landing light, 1 damaged metal wing, 2 ailerons and E Tail assembly. No paint on any parts There is NO PAPERWORK for this aircraft and the history is unknown. It was bought to be used to rebuild another damaged aircraft and the project was never started. What we have is a solid fuselage, with no corrosion that I can see. CD modification has been completed. Mains have springs, not donuts. Front and rear spars look good from all the angles I can look at it. Some rash on the right side walk box, looks like an easy fix to me, I probably have a replacement rib. Wings look like both spars are okay from what I can see, I have not pulled off the inspection plates but based on everything else, I'm not expecting corrosion. 1 good wing, the other needs repair on the tip and bottom sheet metal along the leading edge. External tanks look good and do not leak. E tail is all there and has a bit of rash but no show stoppers. There are some gauges in the panel, condition unknown. No paperwork, don't ask. Excellent rebuilder or if you need a donor aircraft, here it is. Parts alone are worth far above the starting price. Nothing here is guaranteed airworthy, your mechanic must make that determination. Discoloration you see is surface dirt. More pics available on request and my time, ask I may have them. Located 52F (North Texas). Main gear legs are broken down so this can be put into a U Haul box truck. I can store for 30 days, after that there will be a storage charge. Bid often and high and thanks for looking.
