The Good: Very well maintained 1946 Luscombe 8A. Garmin GTR200 Com with 2 place intercom. KT-76A transponder, Bendix King AV80R GPS. Concord Sealed battery, 10A generator, LED Nav lights, Electric Starter, Bracket air filter. Auto Gas STC. AFTT 3196 . Engine TSMO 1277 65HP. Complete Logs . Flown regularly and in annual inspection until August 2017. In the last two years it has new tires, brakes, new control cables for elevator and rudder. New bushings in flight controls and tail wheel steering assembly. The battery is also less than two years old.
The Bad: On July 6, 2017 the aircraft had a hard landing at KGRI airport. There was no prop strike. The aircraft came down hard on the main gear casing damage to the fuselage shown in the pictures. Aircraft could be ferried for repair. More pictures on request. Aircraft can be inspected in person at Trego/Dugan Aviation in Grand Island, NE. A&P mechanics can help disassemble for shipping if needed.
