Custom-built coaxial cables, assembled using low-loss Mil-spec RG-400 teflon coax, a TNC male right angle connector on one end, and a BNC male connector on the other.

Ideal for Garmin 430W WAAS installations when using a GA-35 antenna, or with any antenna having a female TNC connector. This cable can also be used in com, transponder/DME, or ADS-B UAT installations when the antenna has a female TNC connector and the radio a female BNC, or vice versa. Less than the cost of the quality TNC connector alone!

***NOTE: This cable has a TNC (threaded BNC-like) connector on one end, with a BNC on the other. It is only compatible with radios and/or antennas with TNC connectors on one end, like the Garmin GA-35, or Becker transponders. Otherwise, I sell the more common BNC/BNC cables in another listing***

This auction includes up to 9 feet of premium 50 ohm RG-400 cable, a US-made BNC connector with a gold-plated center pin (center pin soldered for integrity and superior electrical performance and life), and a German-machined TNC connector with gold-plated center pin. In addition, each connector has heatshrunk strain relief. Custom-imprinted heat-shrinkable cable labels (up to 2) are also included on request, up to 10 characters long each, to be specified by the buyer at time of purchase. Labeling will allow you to keep track of the coax function behind your panel or in dense cable bundles, and can be unique to your aircraft!

Right angle BNC, blind mate tray, or straight TNC connectors are also available at a reasonable additional cost. I also have RG-393 coax available for ultra low-loss transponder or ADS-B installations.

If used for a Garmin 430W WAAS installations, either a cable of 13 feet, or an additional BNC/BNC jumper of at least 4 feet, with a BNC coupler, is recommended to meet Garmin's minimum loss budget. If you need a custom cable more than 9 feet long, please contact me before bidding.

If being purchased for a transponder or DME installation, Garmin recommends that a maximum length of 8 feet (RG-400) be employed to insure proper operation. This recommendation would hold for other transponders as well. Generally, with transponders or com radios, the shorter the cable, the better. I also have teflon RG-393 coax for ultra low-loss transponder or ADS-B installations.

Why choose an antenna with a TNC connector? They are more reliable and resistant to vibration than BNC-connectored units.

On purchase, please specify the exact cable length, and the label text if desired. Note that custom cables will ship within 48 hours of order rather than my usual 24. This leaves time for inspection and test of the cables after manufacture.

I will ship using USPS Priority Flat Rate envelopes or boxes, or FedEx Ground (US-only), and refund shipping overage if mis-figured by the eBaY shipping calculator. I will not bend the cable beyond its minimum radius for shipment.
