This aircraft has been donated to our charity since the owner no longer needs it. It is hangared at Odessa-Schlemeyer Field Airport (KODO), Odessa Texas.
Anyone interested in purchasing the plane should have it inspected before bidding. If you are not serious about buying, please do not bid. It is a disservice to us in addition to damaging your standing in the EBay community.
We had it sent to an FAA mechanic to install a new battery and do miscellaneous repairs since it has not been in the air for 2 1/2 years. We were told the engines cranked right up and ran smooth with all indications showing normal. He said the landing gear need to be serviced. The engine baffle has corrosion and should be replaced.
A thorough inspection has not been done, and we recommend you do so before buying. A potential buyer looked at the plane just days ago who told us it was much better than he envisioned but wanted it on payments and was also willing to pay a higher price, however the charity prefers to have the cash now. The owner's pilot also wants to purchase it but wants to do so on payments, which is also a good indication of the plane.
It will require a ferry permit as well as a new annual inspection. The craft is sold as- is/where is. Feel free to send any questions you have and I will try to get the answers from the owner and mechanic.
The transaction and ownership transfer will be conducted by Aero Title.
