1975 CESSNA 402B, LIGHT AIRFRAME DAMAGE,  FLOWN REGULARLY, NO DATA PLATE, CHEAP !!

CESSNA'S 402 SERIES IS THE WORKHORSE OF THE SMALL COMMUTER FLEET !!

AIRSTAIR DOOR AND A BIG AIRPLANE LOOK AND STANCE, WITH EASY TO MASTER FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS. 

THIS AIRPLANE WAS USED REGULARLY  FOR FLIGHTS IN NEW ENGLAND.  THIS AIRPLANE WAS PURCHASED AND FLOWN BY A LOCAL, ON SIMILAR ROUTES AS CAPE AIR, BUT AS A CHARTER AND ON DEMAND, NOT SCHEDULED AIRLINE.

ONE EVENING LAST FALL, SOMETHING HAPPENED ON LANDING AT THE NANTUCKET AIRPORT IN MASSACHUSETTS.  WHETHER THE GEAR WAS FULLY DOWN AT THE TIME OR WASN'T FULLY DOWN IS DISPUTED, BUT FOR SOME REASON, THE LEFT GEAR ACTUATING ROD BROKE, AND THE AIRPLANE FELL DOWN PARTIALLY ONTO THE LEFT SIDE


DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE AIRFRAME IN ONLY THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

LEFT TIP TANK HAS A DENT OUTBOARD, AND A SMALL SCRAPED AREA UNDERNEATH.  VERY REPAIRABLE, AND THERE IS NO APPARENT PUNCTURE OR LEAKAGE.THE RETRACTABLE LANDING LIGHT ON THIS SIDE WAS EXTENDED AND RIPPED OUT

BOTH OF THE LEFT FLAPS ARE VERY SLIGHTLY SCRAPED ON THE VERY TRAILING EDGE.  NOT A PROBLEM FOR A FERRY FLIGHT AS IS, AND SHOUD BE REPAIRABLE OR BOLT-ON REPLACE.  THE INBOARD LEFT COWL FLAP SEEMS TO HAVE A TINY SCRAPE, BUT IT MAY BE JUST PRE-EXISTING WEAR ON THAT TIP, BECAUSE THE OUTBOARD LEFT COWL FLAP, WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOWER, IS NOT DAMAGED.

BOTH INBOARD GEAR DOORS, LEFT AND RIGHT, ARE SCRAPED AND DENTED ON THE BOTTOM EDGE AND WILL REQUIRE REMOVAL OR REPLACEMENT.

BOTH OUTBOARD GEAR DOORS APPEAR UNDAMAGED

BOTH MAIN WHEEL AND BRAKE ASSEMBLIES APPEAR UNDAMAGED

THE RIGHT GEAR IS UNDAMAGED, AND AS FAR AS I CAN TELL THE LEFT IS OK AS WELL, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE ACTUATING ROD WHICH BROKE.

THE NOSE GEAR DOES NOT APPEAR DAMAGED AT ALL, AND BOTH NOSE GEAR DOORS ARE UNDAMAGED 

THE FUSELAGE IS COMPLETELY UNDAMAGED

BOTH WING SHOW NO DAMAGE, THE RIGHT TIP TANK, FLAPS AND AILERONS ARE UNDAMAGED

ALL TAIL FEATHERS SHOW NO DAMAGE

NEITHER OF THE ENGINES, PROPS OR EXHAUST SYSTEM IS INCLUDED, BUT THEY HAVE BEEN UNBOLTED, NOT CUT OUT, ALL ENGINE CONTROL CABLES ARE INTACT.

THE BLUE LEATHER INTERIOR HAS 8 TOTAL SEATS, IN AN EXECUTIVE CONFIGURATION (PILOT AND CO-PILOT, 4 SEATS FACING EACH OTHER IN THE CENTER IN A "CLUB" CONFIGURATION, A REAR FORWARD FACING BUCKET AND A SIDEWAYS FACING "BELTED POTTY", PLUS REAR CABINETRY.

THERE IS A PULL OUT TABLE ON ONE SIDE FOR THE CLUB SEATS TO SHARE

THE AVIONICS PANEL UNITS HAVE BEEN REMOVED, AND ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING

ALL ITEMS SHOWN ARE INCLUDED, SUCH AS

MOST FLIGHT INSTRUMENT, INCLUDING SOME REDUNDENTCO-PILOT INSTRUMENTS

ALL ENGINE AND FUEL GUAGES

ALL MISC. INSTRUMENTS ( EGT, CLOCK, SUCTION, ETC. )

AVIONICS UNITS, TRAYS AND CONNECTORS ARE NOT INCLUDED

THE INSURANCE COMPANY REMOVED THE MANUFACTURERS AIRFRAME DATA PLATE...THIS COMPANY DOES THIS EVERY TIME NO MATTER HOW LIGHT THE DAMAGE IS

THEY WILL NOT RETURN IT , SO BE AWARE THAT THIS SMALL METAL PLATE IS  NOT INCLUDED,AND MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS

LOCATED AT THE NANTUCKET AIRPORT IN MASSACHUSETTS,   IT HAS BEEN PARKED INSIDE SINCE THE INCIDENT AND HAS JUST RECENTLY BEEN MOVED AND TIED DOWN OUTSIDE.

THE JACKS WERE THERE FOR INSPECTION ONLY, THE LANDING GEAR HAS BEEN SECURED IN THE DOWN POSITION AND IT IS TIED DOWN OUTSIDE, SITTING ON ITS GEAR.

THIS AIRPLANE IS OTHERWISE COMPLETE, IT HAS NOT BEEN USED AS A PARTS DONOR OR HAD COMPONANTS STOLEN.  ALL SYSTEMS EXCEPT ENGINES AND AVIONICS ARE INTACT

TOTAL AIRFRAME TIME IS 12421

AIRFRAME LOGS ARE COMPLETE FROM 4/1994 ONWARD

FAA BILL OF SALE IS INCLUDED AS ARE THE LOG BOOKS
