Ok folks...here's the facts, this is one incredibly rare, and one incredibly desired item--as these chairs are today, NON EXISTENT!
In 2000, I saw one of these chairs bring well over $2000.00 dollars at Pacific Auction Gallery in Los Angeles, Ca.

This chair being offered here is absolutely authentic, and one helluva nice piece in history excellent, history amazing!
The B-29 Superfortress was THE Bomber of W.W.II, and it served us well in the Pacific Campaign!
Naturally, a very big part which brought us end to the War with Japan is focused on the B-29. It was the The Enola Gay, a B29 Superfortress piloted by Paul Tibbets  which dropped the Atomic Bomb over Hiroshima in August of '45!

Legendary...

Herein this fine auction is one, certain original, and just amazing Radio Operator's chair, Navigator's and the Bombardier's chair from a B-29 Superfortress that spread hell throughout the Islands, and finally, Japan.

The B-29 SUPER FORTRESS!

This chair is quit a piece, and one that was only made for the B-29--ONLY!  And this chair was aboard each and every B-29 specifically there for two (2) crew members the Radio Operator, Navigator, and yes...The Bombardier!

This is now getting into Enola Gay territory, and that's WHERE WE NEED TO BE!

This chair remains in good, original condition. It has never been restored, nor should it be. The chair is fully original, with the same materials, metals--all in tact, just as she was for the last big one!

THIS CHAIR IS 110% ORIGINAL, RIGHT, AUTHENTIC, AND A CHAIR THAT IS NOT AT ALL AVAILABLE ANYWHERE!


This chair should just be displayed--ONLY, with nobody sitting on it, and tearing it up, as she is one helluva major item in W.W.II relics, history, and VICTORY!

The chair is a nice piece, and I had 'er displayed for many years with a huge mushroom cloud rising behind her. I had all around her each member of the Enola Gay's Crew signatures on great 8x10 stills proudly hanging on the wall next to her.
I'm sure this piece shall now be passed onto another caring person--and with my first price, I can only say--GIVE IT HELL!--'Cause, if it does not sale here, then it is going to a prominent auction house where the bids shall commence much higher.

The seams on the chair in some places are coming loose, and the upper pad, the seem has come almost loose. There are a couple of small holes in the fabric, but not bad. Overall the chair looks good, and shows good, although some pieces may have to be set--for show.

The upper, head-rest upper seam has torn across the top causing it to slip down, and the seat has a couple of minor holes, with some seam tears as well.
