LSA  LIGHT SPORT ERCOUPE FOR SALE

1946 415 C  Ercoupe  C-85-12

N87333 415 C  Light Sport. TTSN only 1370 hours aircraft and engine. TSOH 154 hours. NO RUDDER PEDALS.  Large baggage compartment, dual fork nose wheel, Cleveland wheels and brakes.

 Original 75 HP Continental C-75-12 engine upgraded to 85 HP. CHT probes and gauge with quad switches, Dual Bendix mags and harness, Electric oil temp and oil pressure gauges, spring loaded pushrod tubes, overhauled by ECI with four new Millenium cylinders, pistons, rings and piston pins, overhauled rockers, connecting rods and  reground crankshaft .10 under, new hydraulic units and tappets, reground, camshaft, new oil pump gears. Overhauled fuel pump, seals, gaskets and overhauled 85 HP carb. All metal gascolator.

Spin on oil filter with higher capacity No. 48109-1 spin on filter. Magnetos upgraded to Bendix magnetos, new shielded harness and plugs. 25 AH generator, Concorde 25 AH battery, regulator, solenoid and all new wiring. Wiring diagrams included. 

Large baggage compartment, flat Lexan windshield and side windows, airframe always polished, never painted, new Desser Monster tires, Master switch panel with battery charging terminals with breaker and “master on” light.  Ceconite wings.  Strobes on back, belly,  gear mounted taxi lights, Wing mounted landing light. Mc.Cauley  7250 metl-prop,  ELT, King Nav-Comm radio with bar graph NAV approach display, King transponder w/ encoder, AV8OR ACE panel docked removable GPS NAV system with 7” diagonal color screen,. Also can be used for automotive navigation.


Gauge clusters are separate removable plug-in units for maintenance and easy access behind the leather covered panel. ( see pictures )

Removable vacuum cluster includes vacuum Attitude Indicator, altimeter, VSI, vacuum gauge and Airspeed Indicator.

Removable turn coordinator cluster includes mechanical clock, electric turn coordinator, primer and mechanical RPM indicator.

Removable electric gauge cluster includes electric oil pressure gauge, electric temp gauge, Volt meter, shunted Amp meter, CHT gauge and row of 3 position switches and test and generator lights.

Removable breaker panel includes six breakers from 5 to 30 amp.

Original mechanical “victrola” trim handle and capability of connecting to electric fine trim with bar graph indicator. ( installed but not connected at this time ).  Vertical card compass. Panel mounted fuel shutoff valve, Intercom with PTT switches built into the original pretzel style yokes. ( no dangling wires )

Main panel includes: Vernier mixture control with extended carb mixture arm.  Delco pull starter with new upgraded  5 roller clutch. Factory original automatic carb heat system with override that engages hot air every time the throttle is reduced. King NAV-COM with protection bar, King transponder with protection bar, Sigtronics SPO 400 intercom, Hand brake, auxiliary fuel shut off valve, landing and taxi light breaker switches, pull start, carb heat override knob, throttle, Bendix ignition key. Dual headset jacks.  Headsets NOT included.   NOTE:  Noise cancelling headsets do not work well as this plane is mostly flown with the windows open )

Large baggage compartment includes side panel with master switch, battery charging terminals with indicator light and breaker, allows charging the battery without removing the floor panels. ELT.

Vertical card compass is mounted on the bar.

Serial # 506 has the wider steel main landing gear with the long trailing links. Dual fork nose wheel,  Cleveland wheels and brakes, MLG upgraded with cup type seals. Absolutely no corrosion.  Main spar has been ultrasound tested rivet by rivet. This is a low time plane that has spent most of its life on display in a hangar and has only spent a few nights outdoors at Oshkosh and other shows. On the average, it has flown less than 20 hours a year since new.

Log books go back to February 1946 when this plane was factory tested and signed off by the Research engineering plant test pilot.  All  AD’s completed:  337’s included for the upgrades. Leather document bag includes all records, logs, invoices, AD’s 337’s etc.  Last annual Nov 2015

Aircraft located at TS07 Dry Creek Airport, Cypress,  near  Houston, TX. Can be ferried or trailered.

Winner best in class EAA Texas Regionals 2006 and many other awards. Highly polished plane with distinctive American Airlines vinyl markings.  ( That you may remove )

NO PEDALS. Cruise speed around 100 mph while burning 4.5 GPH. Capable of landing with a 45 mph 90 degree crosswind. Capable of landing and taxiing at cruising speed, no stall, no spin cahracteristics. Has STC approval for auto gas but has always been flown with 100 LL Avagas.      This is the easiest plane I have ever flown.

INCLUDED:

1300# rated single axle trailer with ramps for hauling this plane with wings removed. Has only been used once for a 50 mile trip.

Alternate original 75 HP carb.

Spare muffler and exhaust pipes.

Cyclo dual orbital  with pads, Nuvite S polish and rags.

Set of fitted “pajamas” to cover the plane to keep dust off.

Canopy waterproof cover for outdoor protection.
