RAM Flat Clamp Glareshield mount for the Garmin GPS Map 176/196/276/296/376/378/396/478/496 family.

This is ideal for aircraft and marine use; clamps easily onto any reasonably flat surface up to 5/8" thick.

Includes the cradle for the GPS, double-socket arm, glareshield clamp and attaching hardware.

I've also seen them clamped to car windows and truck dashboards, for what that's worth.

We use RAM mounts and Garmin GPS receivers in our Washington, DC-based aircraft and they are the best mounts in the industry; rock-solid and with a lifetime factory warranty. They are MUCH better than the factory mounts that come from Garmin (which I think are pretty much junk....but that's just me).
