This aircraft was restored by Team Luscombe in Chandler, AZ. The restoration was completed and the aircraft returned to service on September 8, 2008. TTAF 1243.8 hours, since restoration 137.8 hours. New Polyfiber wing covering was installed during restoration. New wingtip strobes and nav lights were also added. There are currently no cockpit or instrument lights. The aircraft is equipped with two 12.5 gallon wing tanks with gauges. It has always been hangared and flown regularly. Current 4/17 annual. It Is a VFR aircraft. Avionics installed are a Becker AR 4201 720 channel com with built in intercom and a Becker ATC 4401-1-175 transponder with blind encoder. I also have a Garmin 296 which goes with the aircraft as well. Both Becker units have performed flawlessly. I have never had any issues (transponder or encoder) with traversing areas of class B airspace. I have the manuals for both Becker units. This aircraft comes with two Sensenich wood propellers: W69EK48 for better climb, W69EK52 (installed) for better cruise. The 0-200A was installed under Team Luscombe S.T.C. SA01049WI. Engine TT4610.7 ; TSMOH 1077.0. Compression at last annual: #1 74/80,  #2 68/80,  #3 66/80,  #4 72/80. Before engine installation, the original starter was replaced with a new light weight B&CSpecialty Products BC320 starter. The generator was replaced with a B&C Products 200G light weight alternator. Engine has 1077.0 SMOH. After speaking with tech services at TCM, Mobile I was told that I this engine should have between 800 and 1000 hours of useful life left. This, of course, would depend on how it is maintained and how it was operated. The engine STC does not change the max gross weight of the plane. The Gross weight is still 1260 lbs, the empty weight is 890 lbs giving it a useful load of 370 lbs. The canvas baggage area was replaced with new. The new canvas has a zipper in the back wall to give easy access to the battery which is located on the right side just behind the baggage area. This plane has a retractable handle in the rear fuselage to aid ground handling. It also has ski braces installed on the MLG instead of the flying wires which gives it better side load tolerance. This plane is still equipped with the mechanical heel brakes but they work well and will hold the 0-200 at full throttle on the ground. I kept them because they have been in every Luscombe I have had. Also, less chance of standing it on its nose. I have a lot of historical documentation on this aircraft including the FAA microfiche file. I also have the indexed comprehensive Luscombe Manual ( 6 inches thick) and a lot of miscellaneous written material with historical and operational information. All of this material goes with the sale. For more information call 325-835-7601 between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM CDST. My call plan has unlimited long distance. if you wish, I can call you back to save you money. Ask for Tom. I have set the reserve on this plane at $20,000. Below that price it goes to my oldest son. There is so much to say about this plane that I simply can't write it all here. There are very few, if any, Luscombes out there as nice as this one. This is my fourth Luscombe experience since 1969. They are great old planes. I must remind everyone that this is a taildragger and certainly has the ground handling habits of one. I cannot check you out in this or any other taildragger. If you are interested in this plane it will be your responsibility to get qualified to fly it. I am willing to consider delivering the plane but that will have to be negotiated with the prospective buyer. My Luscombe, N71734 is hangared in a tee hangar with Skyline Aviation on Mathis Field in San Angelo, Texas. I am sure that I have omitted many important details about the plane. Please contact me through eBay or on the phone for additional information. I will be glad to take more pictures if you wish. The documentation that I have on this plane begins with the acceptance test flight and the delivery ferry flight from the factory. There are some gaps but most everything is there. Before I spent the money to have this plane restored, I asked Team Luscombe to put the wings and fuselage in the original fixtures used at the factory. After doing so, they told me that this was one of the straightest planes they had seen. Upon hearing that , I decided to proceed with the restoration. This is an eBay sale. Please do no ask me to deal outside of the eBay auction. I will not do anything to jeopardize my eBay status. Thank you for looking. I will issue a bill of sale upon receipt of collected funds. Cashiers check preferred. I will accept a personal check but will not consummate the sale until the check clears and I have collected funds. The cost of PayPal precludes its use in a transaction of this size. All taxes and registration fees will be the buyer's responsibility.
