This plane is in a current Annual until August. It is fully airworthy and flyable. The autopilot works a treat and it flies very well, it just looks like hell.

You can buy this one as it is for $37,000 and fly it away to do your own colors, interior and engine.
It has complete logs and no damage history.

Now, as you can see from the pictures it needs a lot. The paint is peeling off and the interior looks like a grenade went off inside it.  Surprisingly though, all the glass is good and does not need to be changed.
This plane is ideal for someone who wants to have a high performance 182 that is personalized. Your own paint scheme. Your own choice on interior. And best of all, the engine of your choice, a 470 or a 520 that you can break-in yourself, even a personalized N number.
The engine will be about $25,000, Paint $10,000 and interior $6,000. So $41,000 and the price of the plane ($37,000) Totals $78,000 for a 76 182 with new paint interior and engine.  Once all done it is worth a lot more than that. It is the right airframe, and Times to do all this.

A lot of people are asking me about the engine. I hope this helps.
These engines in the 182's all the way up from 1956 to the last of the P models like this one is are 1500 hour TBO engines. They are 2600 RPM for take off and they are capable of running on car gas with the Petersen STC which is a carb' float mod. They are long lived and reliable engines. This one is just over TBO, but is running very well with compressions all between 66 and 72 over 80. Little oil consumption and smooth running. I'd keep an eye on compressions and oil consumption and run it another couple of hundred hours. The plane runs and flies very well and everything works even the autopilot. The plane is straight and clean, not beaten up or dented, it has just been baked by years in the sun so that the seats and perished and are falling apart and the paint is peeling. It has no corrosion and is a perfect "flying project" I've flown newer lower time 182's that do not fly as nicely as this one.

Further investigation shows a professional firewall repair in 1994.  Sorry about that.  Kind of common on a 182.

It has fuill specs on my website at dub dub dud dot skywagons dot komme  You'll see it there under aircraft for sale.
