1948 Ryan Navion A. It has approximately 745hrs SMOH, 115hrs SPOH, 2960 hrs AFTT, Engine 25 hrs since tear down and reassembly, Prop: 25 hrs. since tear down and reassembly
This airplane has a 205 hp Continental engine. It had cylinders honed during reassembly, and the engine is spotless. It doesn't leak any oil or any fluids. It is a 1500 hrs TBOH, The plane holds 40 gal. in the wings, and also has an aux. tank of 20 gal., so it holds a total of 60 gal. The airplane has many modifications. (floor vents to keep cockpit cool, Palo Alto Tail, RARE old fashion Navion yoke, RARE Navion wheel covers)
This airplane burns 11 gph, at 125 kts!! It flies amazing!!
It has had an excellent maintenance history, and has been maintained by Classic Aero in Aurora, NE for the 20 years prior to me buying it in 2009. They are Navion specialists, and do great work. The recent work done was preformed by Ike Wiley of Leander, Tx, a Navion Guru with over thirty years experience on them. He is available to talk with about N4625K anytime.
The reason for this recent work was from a gear up landing, all repairs have been made and she is flying again.
The panel has been rearranged so the radio stack is in the middle instead of scattered all over like the original Navions. This airplane has always been hangered, and been in dry country. All AD's are complied with, and it is ready to go!!
The interior was redone in 1996, and is in good condition. It has had extensive soundproofing, has good glass, headliner, and cloth seats.
The exterior is in less than average condition. The paint has more than normal wear ( chips and scratches).
Avionics include: Narco Com 120 TSO, Narco AT 150 TSO transponder with mode C, Narco NAV-121 VOR/LOC, and 4-place Flight-Com Intercom w/push to talk on the yoke.
