Exceptional low time Bellanca 14-19-3A (260C) renovation project. 1487 TT airframe. 137 SCMOH on Continental IO-470-F. 0 SPOH on Hartzell propeller. King IFR panel; dual KX-155 (one with glideslope), audio panel and ADF are configured as a center stack by the previous owner (A&P). Fuselage and control surfaces covered and primed. Extensive detailed logs and two boxes of Bellanca manuals; parts, repair/assembly and maintenance.
Previous owner sold in mid-renovation when his father-in-law died and his hanger (airport home) was converted to a mother-in-law's apartment. My airport (WVI) was breaking ground for new hangers when I bought the plane. The hangers never happened; cancelled to protect an endangered newt. The plane sits in my garage, dusty but in good condition. That garage is in Felton, CA. Buyer must move the plane themselves. No shipping.
If you aren't familiar with the Bellanca Viking family they are great 4-place aircraft; 20,000 ft service ceiling, 180 cruise, and this plane has an aux tank for extended range. Considering it's high performance it is very easy to fly; hard to stall even if you try and lands with very little ground effect. You simply fly it to the ground controlling decent with throttle.
It comes with paint (Randolf urethane in the colors shown flying) and fabric to complete the job. There are books and manuals on how to do the work (available, not included). This plane was flying up to the renovation. I bought my first Bellanca ('74 Viking) as a basket case; damaged prop, damaged engine, damaged nose gear, damaged wings. I'm not an A&P, but I managed to get it back together and airworthy. I did get A&P assistance for critical adjustments and inspections. I flew it for 10 years with no maintenance issues except for oil changes, annuals and a tire change. Unlike my first Bellanca this plane is not a "basket case". You will need a good place to work, plenty of time and perhaps some A&P assistance.
