Up for sale is my Single seat Baby Ace. It has 461 hours TT and SMOH. It has the Lycoming 65hp engine. It was restored and recovered a few years back so the covering and finish is nice. It has Piper J3 landing gear, firewall forward and tail. The plane has been out of annual since 2012 just sitting in the hangar.
It is ready to fly other than 2 issues: 1. There is a small tear on top of the left wing around a foot long. I put heavy duty tape over it and I think it's fine to fly like that but a mechanic may disagree. It would probably take 1-200. To fix properly. 2. Is the carberator has a little issue at full power. It starts up and runs fine at low rpms but when you firewall it to take off it runs wide open for 5-7 seconds and splutters and misses like its starving of fuel. I don't know if there's some kind of carberator float issue or if it's somehow sucking making a vacuum wide open. I am positive it's not a big issue but I can't figure it out and haven't been able to get a mechanic to come out to my strip in rural KY to help me figure it out.
