Both GPS and radio work great. Will be removed for panel upgrade in early March. Screen is near perfect with no pixel loss. Version 3.5 software.
The Garmin AT Apollo GX-65 is an IFR certified GPS with a very sophisticated COMM transceiver. The GX65 is TSO-C129a Class A2 approved for IFR enroute & terminal operation (no approaches). Includes MD40-44L CDI, 2 yr old A33 (Non-WAAS) GPS antenna, rack, data card and interface device for downloading map updates. Last update was Nov 2016.
The COMM section in the GX-65 is a 760 channel radio with active / standby flip-flop. It is possible to listen to the standby frequency while the radio monitors the active frequency for any activity. The COMM transceiver in the GX-65 offers a very respectable 8 watts minimum output (more than a KX-170B, for example). 30-day warranty from date of receipt but prior to return need radio shop to say it does not work (before installed in your aircraft).
