This is a beautiful little Taylorcraft for sale just in time for spring. Continental A65-8F, 4200 total time on the airframe, 580 since major overhaul that was done in the 1990's, less then 10 hours since top overhaul completed a couple months ago, 1400 total time on the engine, it didn't need a top overhaul at the time but had some oil leaks around the lifter body covers and the cylinders had to come off to repair them so I went ahead and topped it. Runs great, compressions all high 70's, doesn't seem you use or leak any oil now. It has wheel pants, recent bungees & brakes, recent tires, recent slick mags with shielded ignition, sealed struts, all AD's complied, wheel pants, wired for nav & landing light with dry cell battery(no longer installed), has external antenna for handheld radio, nice interior, very nice paint & fabric, has a couple of spots of light cracking in paint but no pealing and in excellent condition. Airplane was last recovered with ceconite around 1990, hangared since and every part of the structure still looks like it's brand new. It has 24 gallons of gas with a 12gal main and two 6gal wing tanks giving you about 6 hours worth of gas at a cruise speed around 100mph. She runs and flies perfectly, empty weight is around 740lbs, all paperwork is up to date, log books are complete back to day one, last annual was completed in September 2016, next due Sept 2017, starts easily, usually on the first or second blade cold....first blade everytime hot. Little airplane needs nothing except a new home, I really hate to let her go but wife's health and medical bills force me to sell her. Please feel free to come take a look at anytime before the auction ends, airplane is located in West Liberty, Ky. (9I3). Delivery can be arranged anywhere in the lower 48 states for extra fee. Payment in full will be required before delivery. Airplane is for sale locally and auction may be cancelled at anytime if it sells before the end of the auction. Tire kickers are always welcome in person but, "PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE SURE YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS AIRCRAFT WITHIN THE TIME FRAME GIVEN. I do require the deposit to be paid within 24 hours and the balance to be paid in full within 7 days unless other arrangements are made with me before the auction ends. I can store the aircraft for a while if you need more time to come get it or arrange delivery but payment in full will still be due within 7 days.
