This is a factory new BENDIX KING KX 155 NAVCOM display lens. These lenses fade and de-laminate over time and become ugly and allow more light to reach the display photocell causing early premature display failure. This can also contribute to more expensive repair requirements of overworked internal power supplies costing you much much more. We always recommend to our customers to keep your glare shield and panel covered with a dark colored towel at all times the aircraft is parked to keep the UV light away from the display lenses. It is also a good theft deterrent procedure.
