I am selling AGAIN (first buyers finances fell through at the last minute) the best and most thrilling aircraft I have ever owned. It is fast yet stable, and very economical. Truly this plane just flat out performs! Unfortunately I had and incident last summer while testing flying an experimental aircraft on its maiden flight. The engine failed on TO/Departure and I ended up buried 2' in the ground. I suffered a crushed face, back, and legs. I have recovered well, but I can't stomach getting back into a small plane and have surrendered my certificate This aircraft is too nice and needs a new home. I have logs and documentation from day 1 of this aircraft over 5lbs of receipts and yellow tags. The maintenance has been well documented and done without compromise! Everybody who sees it is wowed. Even my IA was impressed.....and that is hard to do with an experimental.

Wiring is neat with good quality components and workmanship

Engine:

Lycoming injected IO320, 160 hp

New top end 5/2011 approx STOH 380 hrs, engine was full tear down at this time where everything was checked/inspected by "Central Cylinder". This was very extensive and many parts replaced just shy of full OH. SMOH is approx 700 hours.

Green stripe on cylinders means it's a steel cyl .010 oversize

Mags: Bendix overhauled in 2010

Compression check Sep 2012 1) 78 2)76 3)78 4)78 (this is excellent!) Removed and cut open oil filter, clean with

no debris/metal found.

Engine clean, good install, no obvious oil leaks or other concerns.

Skytec starter and plane power alternator (good units with low time)

Prop:

Wernke with Landoll balancer, prop & spinner are in excellent condition.

Airframe:

TT approx 1225 hours

Excellent build quality, wing has anodized Phlogistan Spars (they made many of the spars back then for

Van's) All control surfaces are faired properly and operate smoothly.

Paint and interior is excellent condition and was professionally applied.

Hard landing in 98', (been through 15 annuals with 0 issue since) LT gear was straightened and the lower mounts replaced with beefed up items (it

was common to replace these mounts and beef up this area on many of the early 4's). External doublers

installed at the lower mounts on the side skin to re-enforce this area.

No corrosion.

Plane has just gone through $3000 annual. I told my IA (ex Navy Chief) "make it perfect". So we replaced brake rotors, linings, tires (goodyear flight eagle), tubes (goodyear), spark plugs, ELT batteries.........Its ready to fly away with no maintenance for awhile.
