Relisted because of non-paying buyer ...

Here is a complete Garman GNS430 setup ready to put in your plane. It will run on either 14/28 volts.

I have been asked if this is a WAAS unit. It is not. HOWEVER, while it is not legal to couple it to the autopilot on an approach, it is legal to use it for "situational awareness". So, when I do an approach, I have the plate displayed in front of me and I have the timer going, but I also keep an eye on the non-WAAS GNS-430. With it, I can fly a perfect holding pattern without wind drift killing me. I can see the descent points and if they co-ordinate with what the timer is saying. If things get really wonky on my approach I can see it before it is too far out of hand and correct. With this GPS I generally fly right down the throat of an approach ... manually.

Now, unless you fly really hard IFR a non-WAAS GPS will be all you need and it will keep you safe at a far less cost than a WAAS GPS. Just my opinion.

I have received several offers for the price of $6500, and this seems fair, so that is what I'm selling this for.

The rack and active antenna (both new) sell together for $600+. The OBS head is another $600+ from any place. Then there's the price of the GNS430.

I bought this unit to install as a second unit in my Mooney but health issue cause me to sell my plane so this fine unit is now surplus to my needs. It was a demonstration unit so the usage is very light and it looks as new. The King KI209A OBS head is fresh out of the shop and is certified. Both the cage and GPS antenna are brand new.

By the way, someone told me that not many people need an OBS head. Well, the GNS430 will not "talk" to just any head. I found this out by a very expensive mistake when I installed my first GNS430. I used a head that was working with a KX-155A that I removed to put in the GNS430, but it was the wrong King model and the GNS would not work. It required me to get a Garman head (only one the shop had on hand) to get it running. This King OBS head is designated to work with the GNS430.

I had been flying one of these GPS's in my plane for 7 years and love it. The KX-155A I left in the stack rarely gets used.

Great deal for someone.
