I repaired my first King KX170B NAVCOM unit in 1984 and have since repaired 100's maybe even over 1000 units.  Over the years I have serviced probably every make and model of avionics made and have always found the King KX170 series to be my favorite and still to this day believe it to be the most reliable NAVCOM.  I take great care going through these units and know all of its quirks that need to be addressed.  This unit has a good wafer switch and the HRO crystals in the COM SMO are in tolerance.  The COM and NAV volume potentiometers have been cleaned., This unit has micro switches in the front end instead of the non-repairable paper switches.  I lubricate the metal channel selector gears which if not lubricated will wear out and become sloppy and I performed a complete alignment of the unit to manufacturer's specifications.  This unit also has aluminum knobs instead of the plastic knobs which crack and fall apart.  I would welcome the opportunity to repair your failing unit so call and we can discuss your units issues.

As the pictures indicate, this KX175B is in good condition. The wafer switch is not broken and it has black locking pawl installed. It has been through our shop where the volume controls have been cleaned, the channeling gears have been lubricated, and the unit has been completely aligned and tested per manufacturer's specifications. This auction includes a FAA Form 8130-3 return to service document and a 90 day warranty.
