53' Piper Tri-Pacer project. The aircraft is 100% complete and close to airworthy condition. Long story short, I bought the airplane with the intent to spruce it up a bit and get my license, however I got impatient and found no time for the Tri-Pacer so a bought a Cherokee. There is nothing "wrong" with the airplane. What I mean by that is there is no reason why someone couldn't put the cowlings and fairings back on and fly it home. I simply removed the cowlings and trim pieces to do an annual inspection and found absolutely nothing wrong with it. In fact I have elected to leave them off so a prospected buyer can see for themselves. The airplane could be back in the air in less than a day. It has the Lycoming O-290D2 engine that ran very smooth the last time we ran it. I have personally flown the plane and it flew very well hands off. The engine is 100 hours away from a major. I sent off and had an oil analysis done and the report was good, the engine is not making any bad metals. Therefore it can continue to be flown even after TBO. I have the paperwork to prove this report. It was recovered in Cyconite between the years of 69' and 71' and has been hangared its whole life. The covering is in decent shape and passed a punch test, the paint however isn't very good, especially on the tops of the wings. I have the complete logs for the engine, airframe, and the prop since new. The panel has a basic layout and everything worked as it should. It has a very nice King digital flip-flop radio and transponder. Again, the airplane is 100% complete and close to airworthy condition. Get a ferry permit or get it in annual and fly it home. Serious inquiries may call me at (913) 731-1305, and the airplane is located at K-81.
