The plane is selling in a non registered and non flying condition, and will sell by bill of sale only. The plane is located at The Heart of Georgia airport in Eastman, Georgia, on the campus of Middle Georgia State College.
Possible non aircraft uses include, signs, advertising, restaurant, house, office storage, bar, lake house, guest house and 100s more.
The plane will be available for an on site inspection on Sept 12, 2014 ONLY from9AM-2PM
General history and information;
Sold new to Delta, April 1969 N1275L, leased to ASERCA 1992 YV715C, returned to Long Beach 1994 N522M , sold to ValuJet 1994 N917VV, reregistered to Air Tran 1997 N817TA,. Donated to the college and flown from ATL to Eastman in 2002. It has remained in Eastman since. Click on See live coverage flying into Eastman and more info.
The plane appears complete with the exception of instruments and avionics.
The interior has been upgraded and is very nice, 20 first class (2x2) and 90 coach (3x2) seats, along with newer overhead compartments. All doors work, no broken glass, clean and dry inside. The APU appears complete. We have not yet located maintenance records but assume there was time remaining on all major components when flown to Eastman. We will have the plane defueled by 9?12/2014.
The plane is selling AS-IS and WHERE-IS. It may remain and be worked on, through Nov 2014 and MUST be removed by 12/1/2014.
Purchaser will sign a release to current owners and will assume all liabilities and responsibilities as required by Middle Georgia State College.
