PAC/F/226

Current Price: 90,000.00 USD

This aircraft had been maintained in preparation for a move to the United States. I have had difficulty finding suitable hangar space so decided to sell this great aircraft. The aircraft has a  lot of time left on the airframe and propeller. The engine is an Alvis Leanides 125, 550 HP supercharged masterpiece that runs smoother than any Pratt I've flown. The cartridge starter has been converted to an electric starter. Logs and more information on request. The spares include engine and prop (no logs) New pistons and cylinders and much more. I even have the original RAF radios. I can provide an inventory for serious inquiries.

There is a nice movie of it flying at:
Running Google searches will provide a great historical background on this airplane.

First Reg: WW 397 flew in Royal Air Force until 1969. Transferred to No 1 School of Technical Training, RAF Halton as an instructional airframe reg: 8060M. Transferred to RAF Lyneham 1978/9 for rebuild to flying condition. Transferred to civilian UK Registry 1983 as G-BKHP (but still carried RAF Registration WW 397).  Sold to Austalia in 1990's Registered as VH-OIL. Sold to New Zealand (Masterton) re-registered ZK-SGN Nov 2001. Photo's of it flying in 2007 in Sultan of Oman Air Force livery can be found at . I purchased it in 2011 and re-registered ZK-PPP (Percival Piston Provost).

The aircraft is located in New Zealand and is sold as is, where is.  I will assist the buyer outside of New Zealand in organizing the shipping. I will consider trades.

It is easy to fly and is a very economical "war bird".
