For auction is an excellent condition Sporty's JD-200 pilot aviation transceiver radio BUNDLE that has excellent features and built like a tank. It comes with a like new AA Battery Case, Antenna, 8 AA Energizer Alkaline Batteries, nylon carrying case, and Sporty's Operator's Manual on CD. Aviation Consumer recommends the use of AA alkaline batteries over rechargable batteries due to their reliability and low cost to replace. They hold their charge much longer than Nicad rechargeable batteries. This radio shows little signs of any wear. The radio works like a champ and I have communicated with ATC in my Cessna with clear communication using only the antenna on the handset.
The VOR function is a life saver if your navigation instruments fail during flight. This radio is very accurate using the VOR CDI and closely matches my GPS VOR indicator. This radio is also very convenient to monitor ground control, ATIS, AWOS, etc., without powering up your airplane radio. These Sporty's Airband radios are rugged radios and have much more transmitting power than most of the smaller, newer ones. We hope someone will be able to enjoy this radio for years to come.
