Curtiss Jenny 2/3 scale airplane. This plane was built in 1992 by Walter Treadwell, and carries serial number 3. It has dual controls and full instrumentation. The engine was originally a 58 horsepower Rotax, but that engine was replaced with another in 2001. It's not clear from the logs whether the new engine is a 582 or 583 - I'll try to determine that - either way it comes with gear reduction and electric start. The total time on the airframe appears to be in the 170 hour range, and the engine a little over 70.
The plane needs some attention. I bought it recently, hoping I could convert it to qualify for ultralight status, but it's too heavy to make that practical. I don't have a license to fly LSA aircraft.
According to the previous owner, the plane had a rough landing in a field in 2003 that caused minor damage to the wings and landing gear. He stored the plane and put whatever it is you're supposed to put in the engine to store it. It turns freely and looks to be in good shape.
Two of the wings were stored poorly and need to be rebuilt. I'm not an airplane expert but will try to answer any questions you have, or will refer you to the previous owner. Additional photos available on request. Price negotiable., direct inquiries to Chris.
