Curtiss Jenny 2/3 scale airplane, probably an Early Bird/Dennis Wiley.
This plane was built in 1992 by Walter Treadwell, and carries serial number 3.  Sale includes the engine, fuselage, tail feathers, wings, seats, struts, cables, landing gear, log book, spare windshield plexiglass, etc. The total time on the airframe appears to be in the 170 hour range, the engine about 65.   The landing gear needs minor repairs, and the fuselage fabric has a few holes and other minor defects.
The plane needs some attention. I bought it in October of '16 hoping I could convert it to qualify for ultralight status, but it's way too heavy to make that practical, and I don't have a license to fly LSA aircraft.
According to the previous owner,  the plane had a rough landing in a field in 2003 that caused minor damage to the wing trailing edges. He stored them carelessly, so the two lower wings need new leading edge spars and repairs to the ribs or replacement of the ribs altogether. and would also need to be recovered.   I saved the six metal parts that connect the leading edge to the struts.
The upper wings appear to be okay except for minor damage to the trailing edge - see picture.
The plane has a Rotax grey head engine in it,  66 HP.
I'm not an airplane expert but will try to answer any questions you have.  Additional photos available on request.

Unnecessary comments:

Yes, you can build one from scratch yourself.  But are you sure you want to do that?  Have you thought this through?  First, you’ll need a pretty big space to build it in. Do you have that?  If you don’t, it’ll cost you at least $200 - 300 a month to rent one. You’ll have to order the kit, in the first place, and that ain’t cheap. Might give you sticker shock, looking at that - might make you wonder right there if you’re making the right choice…  sometimes the damn kit sells for more than the finished plane - go figure.  But go ahead, order it, but then don’t forget you’ll probably need to get parts that don’t come with the kit, or parts to replace the wrong part from the kit, or parts to fix other parts. You’ll have to pay shipping, and a lot of the stuff is oversized, so the rates are ridiculously high. Most likely the UPS guy will be a dude, not a chick, so you'll have to deal with that.  Then you’ll need tools. Lots of them. You’ll need welding equipment, welding rods, welding gloves, welding tanks. Do you have those? You’ll need a surface to build everything  on, and that means wood. So right off the bat you have to make your first trip  to Home Depot and stand in line with a bunch of dirtbag guys while they fumble for their wallets and argue over how many sheets of drywall they’re buying.  There’s always a hundred guys at Home Depot, and maybe two chicks, so get used to looking at middle-aged dudes in flannel shirts. Yeah, that’s a picnic. And you’ll be going there two or three times a day - to buy parts, or tools, or parts for tools, or parts to fix the other parts, or parts to fix something that broke in your rental space.  You’ll probably have to make a trip to your car repair guy, because you’ll need to get your car fixed after making 270 trips to Home Depot, so leave time for that. Then your rental space will get cold, in the winter, or hot, in the summer, so you’ll need to buy a heater, and an air conditioner, and a fan, some warm clothes or new boots, and maybe a pair of sandals. Then you have to deal with the directions from the kit.  Have you ever tried to read those things?  Maybe it’s English, maybe not. Hard to say. And don’t forget rivets. Not everything gets welded. You’ll probably need rivets. Thousands of them. Rivets come in lots of different sizes. Did you know that? Yeah. And you have to use the right ones in the right place, or else they have to come out - and they can be a bitch to pull. When you finally get everything put together - IF you get everything put together - then you still have to buy the covering material; there’s another couple hundred dollars, plus cans of adhesive and stuff, some brushes, tarps, stuff to clean everything. You’ll need needles, probably, or glue,  more cleaners. You’ll be breathing that crap - might be okay, might not. Might stink, might not. But you’re not done yet - still need to paint the covering, protect it from ultraviolet light or whatever. THAT stuff is going to stink, probably.  OR, buy this plane from me. You'll be about 3/4 of the way done. Fix up those wings in a couple of weekends. Get her flying in no time.
