Current Price: 25,101.00 USD

Up for grabs is a Beautiful and virtually corrosion free 1964 Beechcraft BE 95-55 Baron.    N116L   S/N TC:780  hangered in Southern California KPOC

ACTT: 2860.0

Annual completed in Dec 2016    (No missing logbooks or records)

Paint:  Older paint but in excellent condition, with little to no fading.  The new owner will have to rub it out.  A local detailer states that he can make the paint look almost new.

Interior: Beautiful leather interior!  Headliner and side panels are in excellent condition!  The carpet is acceptable but will most likely be replaced by the new owner.  I also have the 5th  seat not shown in the picture which is also leather

L/H Engine   IO-470 L    315 SMOH                      2860   Eng. TT

Engine was disassembled late 2016 for replacement Camshaft and lifters.  Cylinders were rehoned and piston rings replaced.  Fuel pump, Fuel control and divider overhauled.  Magnetos replaced with factory O/H units.  All fluid carrying hoses replaced.

R/H Engine   IO-470-L   1880 SMOH                   2860   Eng.TT

Cylinders reworked late 2016.  Starter drive was overhauled. Fuel pump, Fuel control and divider overhauled.  Magnetos replaced with factory O/H units.  All fluid carrying hoses replaced.

NOTE:   Despite the cylinder work, the piston rings on this engine will not seat.  (Chrome cylinders) under high power settings in flight an unacceptable amount of oil being pushed out the breather.  The new owner MUST replace the cylinders!    The bottom end of this engine is in surprisingly good shape.  Good oil pressure in flight (indicating good bearing clearances). Camshaft and lifters look beautiful.   I estimate the bottom end of the engine will reach 2500 hours with no issues.

Props:  Propellers were overhauled in 2005.  Props were inspected and resealed (AD97-18-02 r1 compliance) in late 2016      5 hrs. Since Props overhauled

Governors: both were O/H in late 2016    5 hrs since O/H

Avionics:      Collins HSI, Dual Collins VIR 351/251, KT76A , KN-60 DME, Bendix M4-C autopilot.   The ADF and Northstar Loran installed are basically boat anchors.  The last digit on #2 nav is blank.  The autopilot is operational but when in roll mode and heavy roll rate selected, the altitude hold disconnects.  Also there is no panel mount intercom and the portable unit works but replacing batteries is a pain.  The ELT has been replaced with a new 406 megahertz unit.  Many insterments were O/H or repaired 2016

Fuel system: the right main fuel bladder is seeping.  The new owner can anticipate replacement of the bladder within the first few years of ownership.

Aircraft History:

I purchased this aircraft last year after it had been sitting inactive since 2005.  The previous owner kept it in the same hanger since 1981.  This Aircraft had a hard landing in 1974 and went down on its nose.  At some point in time the R/H wing received a dent in the L.E. (most likely hanger rash) Other than that it’s had a relatively boring life.

Other:

I am an A/P IA and purchased this airplane as a project.  And a project it has been. I have put extensive work into both the airframe and engines of this airplane, and have flown it too.  It is a fantastic flying machine.   The airplane has had extensive work done on the landing gear and other parts of the airframe.   Too many things to list here, but I can provide logbook entries highlights if you are interested.

Additional equipment: included in sale are a battery charger (24v), electric towbar, and jacks.

Because of the UNAIRWORTY condition of the cylinders (R/H eng)  reserve is at wholesale and well below recent NAAA Appraisal.  Please contact me if you have any questions.
