1955 Piper Apache Serial 23-566. Total Airfrme time = 3959. Left Engine = 1522 SMHO. Right Engine = 1836 SMOH. Left Propeller = 1522 SMOH / AD 97-18-02 DUE NOW. Right Propeller = 32 SMOH done 03/2010/ AD 97-18-02 due in 228 hours. 5 year overhaul due 03/2015. Aircraft has complete logs and paper work from new. Last annual in 2005 but ferried from Florida to California in 2006 and hangared there until 2012. Has had considerable work done on it and ran regularly with the intent to ferry for annual inspection. Work completed rebuilt all three landing gear struts with new seals and service with nitrogen. Removed left and right master cylinders and resealed and replaced old hoses with new hoses from Piper. Has replaced belly below down bottle due to age. Both throttle cables replaced, new left electric fuel boost pump, new fuel bowl and gascolator and new alt belt. Rebuilt carburetor on right side, all brand new slick magnetos and ignition harnesses on both sides. No cabin heater installed but all plumbing is still there for re-installation if needed. Overall in good condition for an older Apache! Runs great and most avionics equipment works except ADF and Nev/Com # 2 (bad tray connectors and no #2 nav.head). Avionics are Collins. Microline Nav/Coms, Trimble GPS, Narco Transponder with encoder, Century 1 autopilot, Argus 3000 moving map, 4 place intercom and audio panel. This is a oldie but goodie. The apache fat wing has great slow flight handling. It has auto gas STC which makes it a great mulit engine time building aircraft. Folks this is a 1955 NOT a 2005 but is a solid old twin that just needs some tender loving care. Ready to ferry. SOLD AS IS WHERE IS.
