The Yaesu Vertex Standard VXA-700 will not only transmit on the aviation band but FM 144-148 MHz 2 meter amateur radio band as well. It receives weather and the FM broadcast frequencies as well. The FCC ordered Yaesu to stop manufacturing these so the new model VXA-710 does aircraft only.
