This is a Canadair Silver Star made in 1959. Locheed allowed two other countries to build the T-33. Canada (656) and Japan (210). Canada used these planes well in to the late 80's and they were in inventory well into the mid 90's.
This is a military aircraft and has all the original documents from the Canadian Forces. It is legal to fly and the transfer is quite easy with minimum headache . There has been a on going problem registering and certifying a military plane here in the US, but this one was done right by Heritage and all paperwork is in order. Not to be confused with the L39's in terms of performance . This is an 8G airplane and can make FL410, and climbs in excess of 4000fpm and does not run out of performance at 10000'. Cruises at mach .80. Charts say you need 5500' for runway so if you only have 4000' this might not work for you. I could talk for hours about these AUP aircraft. These were upgraded by the Canadian Air force to the tune of 800000 dollars each. Most of the upgrades were in the radio package, but they started the upgrade process by picking there best aircraft to start with and then they inspected them and started the upgrade. These are without a doubt the best T-33 anywhere. You can read the manual and when you get in the airplane it is exactly like the book. You can call me 903 736 6880 (Kurt) if you have any questions. I really would like to bore you with all the details about these planes,,, like if you leave one of the nose compartment doors unlatched (very bad) you can't close the canopy, or if you add throttle to fast you will get a loud warning. She has fire warning system for both the engine and tail cone, another aural warning if the fuel gets to low. Fully IFR. Has the new one piece windscreen. You could buy a P51 for 1.7 but for roughly 1/12th the cost you can way out perform one with this bird. Very easy airplane to fly. I can have the plane delivered to you and arrange for an instructor.
