This 2017 Hinkens Aerolight is a registered experimental plane. It is all aluminum monocoque construction with flush rivets. The fuselage is welded aluminum tubing. The wing is midwing; constructed of built up I-beams with aluminum ribs and flush riveted aluminum skin. Spinner & wheel pants.

The engine is half of a Volkswagen engine so it is two opposed cylinders. Much of the engine work was done by MOFOCO Volkswagen shop on Capitol Drive in Milwaukee. Ignition is Magneto. Altimeter, AirSpeed, turn & Bank. Wing & tail lights, shoulder belts.

The airplane only weighs about 400 pounds. The wingspan is in the neighborhood of 20 feet. Seats one person. Call number is N24088. It has always been stored in a hanger.

The airplane is largely finished but it has a few details to be worked out and needs to be certified.  It is only being sold due to the failing health of the builder. It is a perfect airplane for a guy who wants a totally unique, custom made close-to-finished project and would like to fly on 100+ miles per gallon. Plans and many rivets, screws included.
