I have up for auction a 1971 Cessna 172L no reserve.
This has been a very good airplane for me. Good paint and good interior. I would rate interior at about an 7.5 and the paint at an 8 out of 10.
Annual inspection due Feb. 2015
IFR due 10/16
ELT battery expires Feb. 2015
Compressions at annual were 71, 78, 76, and 78 over 80. Installed new magnetos, spark plugs, ignition harness at annual. Engine was overhauled 10/8/1992. 1525 SMOH.
Airplane does have light hail damage, visible mostly on flaps, ailerons, and elevator. If you want pics of hail damage, message me. Missing airframe logbooks prior to 1992.
The engine does have a crack in the crank case. The crack is about 2-2.5 inches in length on the front, left side of the crank case. I had my engine mechanic look at it, but I did not take a picture of the crack when they had the die on the case. The engine still runs strong and could easily be fixed. I was given an estimate to fix it. Message me for the estimate price
I am selling as is where is. I will hangar the airplane for 30 days after auction ends for free. After that for a small fee.
