This is a great instrument, compact and highly functional. The Narco IDME-891 combines a VOR/LOC/Glideslope Indicator with a DME Transmitter/Receiver and Indicator and Marker Beacon Indicator and puts it all in front of the pilot in one instrument.
The DME portion of this radio can show distance or ground speed on the LED display at the bottom. See the pix for this unit in ILS mode, in VOR mode, also showing NAV and GS flags operation, and displaying groundspeed, which is done by pressing the OBS knob. I have not shown the unit displaying marker beacon lights, but they are just to the left of center on the indicator and can be active if you wire the output of your marker beacon receiver to the unit, which puts everything you want on the IFR approach in one instrument.

The IDME891 can be channeled by many NAV receivers, but the unit integrates particularly well with Narco MK12D Nav/Coms - a MK12D was used to channel and drive the unit for the included pix.
This unit is in excellent working condition, and the instrument glass and needles are in great shape. The On/Off/Dimmer switch knob has has some edge damage, see pic, but functionality is not affected.
For those looking to replace an existing IDME891 that has performance issues, you won't need the included connector, but if you are looking to add DME capability to your present system, say by replacing your ID-825 indicator,this connector will save you some time and effort - it will need a shell that locks to the IDME891 pins.
