Hello: You are looking at a Garmin GNS-430W that has been recently removed from a aircraft being parted out and is being sold at NO RESERVE. This unit has had mods 1,2 and 3. The face and display are very nice. The unit powers up and the GPS and nav. portion bench checked fine. The message indicator indicates a comm. issue. I recently had the unit benched checked and the comm. receives normally, however the transmit function is only putting out 3 watts, not 8 watts as required. You can transmit on the ground from aircraft to aircraft normally. The unit needs to go to Garmin to see why the transmit function is weak. He informed me that Garmin has a flat fee of around $899.00 to repair a GNS-430. Please contact Garmin before you bid to verify. The unit is sold without the tray, connector or antenna and is sold AS-IS, AND SOLD AS A CORE FOR PARTS. Keep in mind the Wass upgrade with terrain costs almost $3,000!
