Here is a great 2 place Grumman AA1B. Originally, known as the Yankee, the "B" model is actually called the Trainer. It has the fatter, easier handling wing. The Grumman AA1B is a fun and easy plane to fly. It sips fuel (about 5 gallons per hour) and has the STC for auto gas. I burn 90 octane no-lead Rec Fuel in it and it runs perfectly. It is one of the least expensive planes to fly, both in operating costs and maintenance. The Grummans are reliable and simple aircraft. Very cheap on insurance, too. The AA1B is a great handling, docile plane for both novice and experienced pilots. The AA1B is also known as "The Poor Man's Warbird" as it is very light on the controls and maneuvers easily.

This AA1B has the Lycoming O-235,108hp engine. O-235 Engine TBO: 2400 hours.

The annual was just completed and is due next in October 2017. This Grumman starts every time and I have had to do nothing but regular maintenance. The engine has good compression; it does not burn or leak oil. I change the oil every 15 hours. It has the quick drain on the oil pan and the oil change takes 10 minutes! I figure oil is super cheap compared to engine overhauls! I have the complete logs books, maintenance manuals and other Grumman AA1 info that is included with the sale. This is a no excuse, fly anywhere right now plane. It needs nothing but a pilot!

- Bendix King KX-155 Nav/Com with Localizer and indicator

- Bose Panel Powered "LEMO" plug installed on pilot's side (as well as regular headset jacks)
It has modern flight instruments in the common "6 pack" layout as well as recently installed Electronics International Digital Tach, Cylinder and Exhaust Temperature Gauge (reads all 4 cylinders) and an EI flight timer. There is also a Davitron Digital Clock.
It has a new Skytec Lightweight Starter, new Gil Gel-Cell Battery, new Nose and Main Wheel Goodyear Flight Custom Tires, new Air Power Vacuum Pump and new Bruce Custom Cover. It has a recently replaced interior and glass all the way around. The paint is in good shape and was recently touched up. It has good exterior and interior/panel lighting as well as wing tip strobes.
