1965/2020 Alon A-2 Aircoupe • N6559Q 

A meticulously restored, Grand Champion-caliber Alon Aircoupe fully rebuilt and finished to an exceptional cosmetic and mechanical standard.

Factory-original Continental C90 performance-overhauled by Ly-Con in July 2025. Engine time since overhaul: less than 10 hours. Propeller: less than 10 hours since factory new. Dynamometer tested at 115 HP @ 2,590 RPM. 

This Alon is an outstanding performer with equal or better than factory spec'd useful load, climb rates and cruise speeds. 

All flight control systems bearings have been replaced. Has factory rudder pedals. Fuel tanks disassembled, sealed and rebuilt with the addition of electric fuel sensor. Upgraded lightweight starter (BC) and (Plane Power) alternator. All applicable ADs complied with. No known damage history, no corrosion. Total time since new: 2265 hrs. All logbooks since new, accompanied by extensive restoration documentation: photo, video and all required paperwork.

Avionics & Equipment

Original instrumentation has been thoughtfully integrated with modern technology, including a Garmin G5, Garmin Aera 795, and JPI EDM-830 engine systems monitor with all sensor options installed. DG and GPS-coupled wing leveler. Electric aileron trim. Panel-mounted FreeFlight ADS-B system with Wi-Fi tablet traffic option. New ACK EO4 ELT and all Bendix King Silver Crown avionics. 

Additional features include dual-wing LED landing and taxi lights with multi-pattern wig-wag controller, synchronized three-point recognition strobes with beacon strobe, custom instrument panel, JetGlo exterior finish, completely new interior, all new tinted glass, enlarged baggage compartment, three-point safety restraints, and new AKG AV100 active noise-reduction headsets.

Everything has been done that should have been done to make this Alon a practically factory new aircraft. One that is the most well equipped, state of the art and best performing Alon anywhere.
