This Garmin SL30 VHF NAV/COMM was sent in to Garmin for repair in October 2022 and has been sitting in the factory shipping box ever since I got it back. I have another SL30 in my plane which works fine, so I have been meaning to put this one up for auction. It went in for a inoperative glideslope receiver and some minor screen issues and Garmin repaired and/or replaced the NAV board and CDU (Control Display Unit.) The radio was also upgraded with the latest Garmin Mods, up to MOD LEVEL AG. Please see the pictures of the Garmin Service Report and 8130 Relase Authorization. It is virtually a new unit and should provide many years of dependable service. The Garmin SL30 is one of most robust NAV/COMs out there and Garmin is still providing factory repairs with full parts support.
This SL30 also comes with a full tray and backplate w/ wiring, which by themselves go for around $500 here on eBay. These radios have so many features that I don't know why anyone would want to pay up to $2K more for the new Garmin radios. If you need to replace an existing SL30 or are looking for proven NAV/COM, this is a great unit!
