DESCRIPTION

The ART-161A is a combined airborne weather radar antenna, receiver and transmitter assembly used in Bendix/King RDR-160 series weather radar installations.

The ART-161A combines the radar antenna, receiver and transmitter into a single remotely mounted assembly.

CONDITION

WORKING WHEN REMOVED

This unit was operational when removed from the aircraft and was removed during an avionics upgrade.

The unit has not been recently bench tested following removal and does not include a current FAA 8130-3 or other return-to-service certification. It is therefore being offered based upon its Working When Removed (WWR) condition.
