The Helicopter Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization engaged in the preservation of helicopter history. We are staffed entirely by volunteers, and all proceeds from our online sales go to support our charitable work, which includes restoration of helicopters for public display, an oral history program focused on veterans, and publication of veterans’ accounts in our newsletter, all of which we provide to the public at no charge.

From time to time we find ourselves with surplus helicopter parts and equipment that we list online to help support our mission. If you’re looking for a part you don’t see listed in our Ebay seller store, send us an email—we may have it available.

Terms of sale

Items offered for sale through our Ebay store are sold “as-is,” without warranty or guarantee of fitness. We do our best to describe each item fully and accurately and will provide written records whenever records are available, but please keep in mind that the vast majority of the items we list for sale are used and the details of their history are not always known to us. For this reason, we strongly recommend inspection by an FAA-certified entity of any aircraft part before it is installed in an aircraft intended for flight.

Returns are authorized for many but not all of the items we sell on Ebay; please refer to the Returns section of this listing to see whether this item is returnable. When authorized, returns must be made within 30 days of receipt and in the condition received.

Shipment liability is FOB Origin unless specified otherwise by Ebay policy. The buyer is responsible for requesting and purchasing shipping insurance if desired. Crating of large or heavy items that cannot be sent in a cardboard box is available for an additional fee.

We ship smaller items by UPS, Fed Ex or USPS at your preference. Larger or heavier items that cannot be sent by these carriers may be picked up, or freight arrangements made by the buyer. We do not have loading equipment on hand for heavy freight, but can provide referral to local contractors. We will help facilitate pickup and loading to the extent that we have volunteers available on the day of pickup.

Shipping restrictions may be in effect for certain items (see section on aircraft and aircraft parts below). If the shipping of an item is geographically restricted, this will be indicated in the shipping details section of the listing. Please respect any shipping restrictions and bid on/purchase this item only if it may be shipped to you.

The terms of sale given in this listing, as well as all relevant Ebay policies, constitute the entire agreement between buyer and seller. No separate terms or conditions may introduced by either party with respect to this sale. Should any portion of these terms of sale be determined to be invalid, the balance will remain in force.

Important terms of sale concerning aircraft and aircraft components

Please bear in mind that we are a museum making occasional sales of excess property. While we describe each item to the best of our ability, we cannot confirm or provide guidance on the airworthiness of any aircraft or aircraft part, nor can we provide testing or an airworthiness certification. Such determinations must be made by an FAA-certified inspector or facility. Certain items we sell may have an airworthiness tag, such as the “yellow tag” seen on parts that have passed inspection at some point in the past, but the buyer should not rely on this as confirmation of current airworthiness. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that any parts purchased for use on an aircraft intended for purpose of flight are certified by a qualified inspector prior to installation.

By US law, aircraft and aircraft parts may not be sold to foreign nationals or exported without prior US State Department or Commerce Department authorization. By bidding on or purchasing this item, you affirm that you are a US citizen, you are not acting at the behest of a foreign government, and that you will not export this item to a foreign country or transfer it to a non-US citizen. Items will only be shipped to a valid US address.
