Vintage Electric Speed Indicator Co. Wind Direction Instrument Gauge

Up for auction is a vintage Wind Direction Instrument Gauge made by Electric Speed Indicator Co. of Cleveland Ohio.  This is the Model F420C-WD 4 ROA-1.  It is untested.  This dial instrument gauge  was traditionally  used in professional meteorlogical setups, airport flight service stations (such as FAA LLWAS equipment), and marine vessel navigation panels to show real-time wind direction transmitted from a specialized outdoor wind vane.  The Outer Scale (01 to 36) represents heading in ten of degrees, matching standard aviation runway configurations and compass alignments. The Inner Scale displays standard cardinal direction alongside three-letter intermediate headings like WNW (West-Northwest) and ESE (East-Southeast). It is believed this wind gauge dates to the 1960s or 1970s.  It is approximately 6 inches in diameter by 3 inches thick/deep.

I have been informed that this wind gauge is missing a plug in the back that would be needed to plug into a transformer that can actually transmit the data from the gauge to a recording instrument, so this wind meter would most likely be for parts only or as unique collectible.

Comes from non-smoking home.  Please check out the photos closely for overall condition.  If you have any questions, or would like additional pictures, please feel free to message me.
