This IFD540 was installed and operating normally in N9299P, a 1997 Piper PA-46-350P JetProp, immediately prior to removal during a complete Garmin TXi / GTN Xi / GFC 600 avionics upgrade.

The unit was removed because of the avionics upgrade, not because of any known problem with the IFD540.

It was functioning normally when removed.

This is a working aircraft removal and has not been subsequently bench tested. No fresh/current FAA Form 8130-3 is represented unless specifically pictured and matching this unit's serial number.
